Baby Playgroup

The Baby Playgroup will meet weekly, preferably at a different time (or even day) to the Toddler Group to give parents with babies AND toddlers the chance to attend both playgroups.

The venue will, for the most part, take place at private homes, unless a group activity is planned elsewhere.

The objective of the baby playgroup is to provide early socialization to babies with light playing and early developmental activities, as well as to provide some much needed socialization and information exchange to new moms. Hosts and co-hosts will provide hospitality and refreshments at their discretion.

Ideas or suggestions for planning baby-oriented activities may be shared with the group coordinator (i.e. swim outing, picnic at a park, baby massage, dance-with-your-baby sessions, etc.)

Toddler Group

The toddler group will meet every Friday morning between 10.00h-13.00h either in a defined location (probably the playground of the kindergarten at the Augusta Victoria Hospital) or if this location is not available in a private garden, public park or playground.

The objective of the toddlers group is to give our children a chance to be active by playing games, doing some simple handicrafts or just jumping around in a closed outdoor area.

The toddlers group will take place as much as possible outdoors, meaning that the kids may get wet, dirty, etc. (don't forget to dress them appropriately).

The accompanying parent will bring the necessary snacks and drinks for their children.

Ideas or suggestions for planning toddler activities may be shared with the group coordinator.

Toddler Playgroup Coordinator:

Meret Weyermann  0546-862-431

PLEASE NOTE

Parents can take their child or children to both groups.

Parents with more than one child are welcome to bring the sibling to the other group so long as precautions are taken, as much as possible, so that their attendance does not hamper the productivity of the target group (i.e. babies don’t get trampled on at a baby playgroup or toddlers are not restricted from running about or horsing around at a toddler group).

The toddler and baby group coordinators will try to periodically organize joint playgroups.

You can subscribe to be on both distribution lists.
